What worked? What do I need more help with?
The new year can be viewed as a fresh start – the setting of new resolutions and goals – but it can also be a bit daunting. In December, I always stop and think about what I did accomplish throughout the year – and I also contemplate the things I still wish I had started. This time of reflection for me is often filled with a desire to try again – and this time do better!
If you are at all like me, then there are things you DO want to accomplish, steps that you DO want to make in your life – but what is the best way to go about it?
Some things that I do feel good about is my consistent progress in keeping my body and mind healthy. I have put in a great deal of time on this, and I have plenty I can share with you in those areas. I also feel that I have a good start on my way toward learning a new healing modality that I will be able to share with you soon as well.
The place where I know I need more work and attention is in creating my small business. I want an online business where I can make money helping others to improve their lives. That will be my focus in 2025, and I will bring you along on this journey so you can learn too!

Start Where You Are
So, pick one area that you really think you want to pursue. Be sure this is something that YOU want, not what someone else wants. Not what society says you should want. If you change your mind later, it is ok! But choose something that elevates YOUR LIFE and begin!
There are different people on places like YouTube that have tips and templates to assist you along the way. One YouTuber you might check out is Ali Abdaal who talks about his thoughts on setting goals. He has a free productivity summit you can attend online too. I signed up and will bring that information to you in a future newsletter.
Now…when I say begin, I mean this
Start where you are and write down your thoughts, brainstorm aspects of what you want to do.
Feel into why you want to do this. This can be something you feel very passionate about achieving. This can also be something that you are very passionate about NOT having in your life!
Jot down your overarching goal and then break it down into smaller and smaller chunks
Begin—This can’t be emphasized enough! Just start and do something daily!
Mistakes are ok—and expected! This is part of the learning experience!
Force yourself to keep moving forward even if you feel stupid or unsure!
Learn and adjust as you go! Channel your feelings into this one meaningful goal that you have chosen.
Record Your Progress
I believe it is important to record your progress along the way. Keep track of what works and what doesn’t work. Keep a log of the steps that you take. Track your daily progress! If you miss a day, get back to it as soon as you can. Decide you are going to pursue your goal for a certain amount of time minimum and get to it!
Success
It is important to spend time trying a few things and make adjustments through trial and error. Once you spend time trying things and refining what you do, it is time to home in on things a little closer and start making serious goals. Write out large goals and then create medium and smaller goals. Finally, get yourself to a place where you can act daily on what you want to achieve.
Remember
You are a powerful creator. You are on a quest in this life to do the things that you love and enjoy! Take time to decide what 1 thing you want to focus on and then make a plan to get started.
